Our first press hit!

One week up and running and we are moving along strongly with our effort to build our search results with quality providers. Today we received our first official recognition from Information Week. We are thrilled to be gaining attention!

It's Here... VaVoca 2.0!

We are pleased to announce the launch of VaVoca 2.0... the new, improved online marketplace to find work and hire quality talent!

After a fantastic 2-month pilot earlier this year and incredibly valuable feedback from our users, we're excited to unveil several changes that greatly improve the user experience and simplify the process of using VaVoca. We've made the site 10x faster and more reliable as well as some other streamlined changes.

He are some things we did:

• created the ability to post jobs / wanted ads without requiring an account

• simplified the process to list your services

• made it easy to contact service providers and job postings (you don't need an account to do this either)

• improved the front page look and feel and integrated a short informational video showing you how to use VaVoca

• made the site much faster and more reliable

Ladies and gentlemen.....

In Design

As you may have noticed we have been making some changes around here and things have slowed down a bit. As part of our effort to provide the best product, we will be pulling back and building an even better site. During this time the site will stay live so continued user experience and feedback is always welcome so please feel free to give us yours at contact@vavoca.com

Fabulous Fixes!

Some things we are proud to send out this week:

• IE 7 compatibility improvements- Better support for our Internet Explorer users. You should now have fewer issues and a better look and feel. We love you guys so keep the suggestions coming!
• More rate/salary choices- In earnest effort to move towards being the best Job Search website around we have modified our rate/salary choices to now include month, year, and weekly options.
• Site enhancements- We love pretty rounded corners and hope you do too.

User Feedback Rocks!

A couple of bug fixes today and we would really like to thank the people who took the time to let us know your troubles!

• You can now upload .bmp photo files to your profile
• On the new "Get Rated" feature you can separate entries by not only commas but semi-colons as well

Note: IE 6 users, links that you create in your Service Listing or Job Posting may not appear linkable in your browser window. It is a specific browser bug we are working on but they are active links in Firefox, Safari, IE7, and most other current browsers.

Working Hard Over Here!

The tree is down and we are back to work! Today some exciting improvements went out the door including:

• Get Rated! Are you fabulous and want the world to know? We now have an easy way to send out requests to former clients or employers so they can share their feedback. You can find the button on your MY PAGE on your Service Listing or Job Posting in the top right hand corner. Try it out!
  
• Linkify in your profile. Links that you include in your listing will now be clickable and will open in a new tab. Please be sure to not forget to use the whole address (i.e. www.mycoolwebsite.com)
• Link to the Blog. Now you can keep up with the site at our VaVoca Blog directly from the site.
• Addition of Category Instructions. Listing yourself in one of our popular search categories will allow you to appear in the Category search function from the front page. We just wanted to make sure people knew about it.
• U.I. Changes. Thanks for the wonderful feedback. It's our goal to make the site work for you!
